Who We Are

We are the Alameda Transit Advocates (ATA), a group of friends and neighbors working to improve public transit in the city of Alameda, California. If you’d like to learn more, check out our mailing list, or contact us directly!

Who We Aren’t

ATA (Alameda Transit Advocates) is not AC Transit (Alameda and Contra Costa County Transit District), the public transit agency that provides bus service in much of the East San Francisco Bay Area. ATA is a local citizens’ group that is completely independent from AC Transit and the City of Alameda. It is run entirely by volunteers and receives no funding or other support from any businesses or government agencies.
